![]() ![]() 2020 was my 25th year of editing the TdF and my 20th year as lead editor. The shows have also been nominated for a 2021 BAFTA.Īlthough both were postponed to later in the year, I worked again on ITV's coverage of the Tour de France and La Vuelta. It has been recommissioned by C4 for 60 episodes, including prime-time versions and five themed programmes. It has been a great success and the shows grabbed more viewers in the 4pm weekday slot than any previous strand. I also designed and built the majority of the graphics as Motion templates. Though I haven't yet tried to herd a flock of sheep through the city centre! Current EditingĢ020 has been busy, the beginning of the year was finishing off a new property series (cut on FCP) for Channel 4 called The Great House Giveaway. I was made a Freeman of Lichfield through The Worshipful Company of Smiths (established 1601). Under the name Idustrial Revolution, I have written and sold plugins for Final Cut Pro for 13 years. I have also worked as a broadcast and corporate editor for over 30 years, starting on one inch tape, working through many formats, right up to today's NLEs. I am the Editor-in-Chief of FCP.co and have run the website since its inception ten years ago. Transformations (anchor point, scale, position, rotation). Unlimited depth of compound clips is possible. Compound clips are translated to compositions. Supported features for the new After Effects export: bugfix (Nuke only): pixel aspect ratio was always 1. bugfix: Nuke and FCP X offset time values did not match when the source media had different fps values than the project Make source files read-only (After Effects only). added Preferences: Truncate the clipName to shorten output file-/ foldernames. added support for compound and audition clips. If "Roles" are enabled, only the clips with the selected role assigned get exported. Exports and reconstructs the complete timeline as a single. By assigning roles to clips in FCP X you can manage if you want to export a single clip or a bunch of clips. Thomas had added these new features in version 1.1 Now by using Roles you can export only one or selected clips from the timeline, pretty handy as we know many users on our Forum have been asking for this feature in FCPX for a long time. Version 1.1 has new features and bugfixes. Saves disc space by referring to the original source media. Creates shot based folders with naming conventions. Extends each clip length by a given number of frames. A custom (.synInfo) file format is created for import in Syntheyes. All in-/out-frames and timeline positions match your exported Final Cut Pro X project. These files can be opened in other applications like Mocha, Motion, PFTrack etc. Version 1 already had some impressive features: If you haven't come across this handy $25.99 app before, it allowed you to export projects from Final Cut Pro X into After Effects. Thomas from MindTransplant kindly emailed us to say that ClipExporter version 1.1 has been released. ![]() The new ClipExporter version 1.1 from MindTransplant fills that gap. Foolcut won't work wih versions above 10.0.2 and Automatic Duck is only for Final Cut Pro 7. The options for getting clips and projects from Final Cut Pro X into After Effects are decreasing. ![]()
